Monaghan Piper Tiarnan O Duinnchinn and Laoise have a new recording together called ‘Ar Lorg na Laochra’ available to download or buy here from our new website  www.harpandpipes.ie

The Albiez Trio was formed at the Celti’cimes music festival in Albiez du Montrond in the French Alps in summer 2014, with fiddler Tola Custy, harper Laoise Kelly and whistle player Cormac Breatnach.

Since then Albiez Trio have played Dingle Trad Fest, Armagh Piping Festival, Vienne-Lyon in France, Corsica Kulturate Festival, Mermaids Arts centre & The Hugh Lane Gallery, & The Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin, and performed with the Irish Chamber Orchestra for 1916 commemoration concerts in the Mansion House, Limerick Cathedral and Glór in Ennis.

Laoise regularly collaborates with Michelle O’Brien, the magic fiddler from Toonagh, Co.Clare. The duo first performed in the Dún na Séad Castle at the Baltimore Fiddle Fair Festival, Co.Cork in 2010 and returned, due to phenomenal demand, for the Fiddle Fair 20th birthday in 2012! They recorded their live album ‘The Wishing Well’ – Live at the Dock, Carrick on Shannon in Oct 2010.

Gaidhlig singer Kathleen MacInnes, from the Scottish island of South Uist in the outer Hebrides, & Laoise get together for the odd memorable few gigs, like for the shower of mad lunatics on the Island of Colonsay. .

Martin & Laoise Carrick

Bass player Martin Brunsden & Laoise performed together at Carrick on Shannon’s ‘Water Music festival’ and were commissioned to perform a childrens show ‘The Magic of the Harp’ for ‘The Ark’ children’s cultural centre in Dublin.
